How to clean inside of your kettle
First of all, your kettle interior always needs to be clean for perfect coffee making. If inside of your kettle contains rust or stain, that can cause harm to your kettle performance. Step 1: Keep the empty carafe on Keep-Hot Plate and put the empathy filter basket into your coffeemaker. Shut down the rotating filter cover firmly.
Step 2: Then, take plain white vinegar and add a pint of it into the reservoir. Press ON button to enable the coffeemaker. Turn it off by pressing OFF 30 seconds later. Let the vinegar to clean inside of your kettle for 30 minutes. Turn ON again and wait till the brew cycle is over. After that, turn OFF again.
Step 3: Make the carafe empty and rinse it well. Then, add cold water into the reservoir. Make sure the amount is one carafe. Then, place the carafe on Keep-Hot Plate.
Step 4: Press ON button to begin the coffee making. After the brew cycle is over, empty the carafe again. Repeat the same process with another carafe of cold water.
Step 5: Turn OFF when the second process is complete. Clean the filter basket and the carafe before you make the beverage.
Lemon Water Method
If you don’t have vinegar in your kitchen, you can use lemon instead.
Step 1: Prepare a mixture by adding 2 cups of water and 1 ounce of lemon. Boil the solution for around 20 minutes.
Step 2: Then, pour out the solution from the kettle properly and allow it to cool down.
Step 3: Use sodium bicarbonate on a damp cloth and wipe the leftover hard water residue on your kettle.
Step 4: Finally, rinse your kettle minimum 3-4 times with fresh cold water.
Baking Soda Method
If you are not comfortable with using lemon, baking soda can be another viable option to clean your kettle interior. Similar to the lemon water method, make a solution of baking soda and water. To make that mixture, add one tablespoon of baking soda. After that, allow the solution to a boil and soak it for about 20 minutes.
How to clean outside of your kettle
Similar to the kettle interior, taking care of its exterior is also crucial. If your kettle exterior looks shabby, that will lose your interest in taking a cup of coffee from this machine. So it is important you consider cleaning outside of your kettle too.

How to clean carafe

If there are hard water stains in your carafe, fill it with hot water and use 2 tablespoons of dishwasher detergent to make a solution. Then, keep this solution in the carafe overnight and rinse it.
Also, you can scrub with a non-abrasive cleaner to remove any leftover residue in the carafe. Make sure to use water every time to rinse your carafe after using it.
